Data Deletion Instructions

This page explains exactly how to ask [BUSINESS NAME] to delete the personal data we hold about you, what happens after you ask, and which records we are not able to remove.

Effective

1. How to request deletion

Choose whichever is easier. Both reach the same team.

  • By WhatsApp. Send the word DELETE or HAPUS DATA to [WHATSAPP NUMBER] from the number whose data you want removed.
  • By email. Write to [PRIVACY EMAIL] with the subject "Data deletion request" and include the WhatsApp number in international format, for example 628123456789.

You do not need an account with us and there is no form to fill in. Requesting deletion is free.

2. How we confirm it is you

Because a deletion request destroys data permanently, we confirm you control the number before acting on it.

  • If you message us from the number itself on WhatsApp, that is sufficient proof and we proceed immediately.
  • If you email us instead, we send a short confirmation message to the WhatsApp number you named and wait for your reply before deleting anything.

We never ask for a copy of your identity card, a password, or payment details as part of this process. If anyone claiming to be us does, it is not us.

3. What gets deleted

On completion we permanently remove the following from our systems:

  • Your entire conversation history with us, including text, images, documents, audio, video and location messages.
  • Your contact record: phone number, WhatsApp profile name, and any tags or notes we attached to it.
  • Delivery and read receipts associated with your messages.
  • Stored webhook event logs that contain your message content.
  • Any copies of your messages that our system forwarded into our internal staff groups, so far as those copies remain within our own records.

4. What we cannot delete, and why

We want to be straightforward about the limits rather than promise more than we can deliver.

ItemWhy it remainsHow long
The copy of the conversation on your own phoneIt is stored on your device, not ours. Delete the chat in WhatsApp to remove it.Until you delete it
Messages already delivered into a WhatsApp group, as seen by group members on their own devicesOnce a message reaches a participant’s phone we no longer control that copyUntil each member deletes it
Records held by Meta as operator of WhatsAppMeta is a separate controller. Request deletion directly through WhatsApp settings or the WhatsApp Privacy Policy.Per Meta’s own policy
Transaction and accounting records tied to a purchaseIndonesian tax and company law obliges us to retain themGenerally 10 years
Data needed to establish, exercise or defend a legal claimPermitted under Article 43 of UU PDPUntil the matter concludes

Where we must keep something, we restrict it to that single purpose and it is not used to contact you again.

5. How long it takes

StageTiming
We acknowledge your requestWithin 3 working days
We verify the numberImmediately, or when you reply to our confirmation
Deletion completed and confirmed to youWithin 14 days of verification
Backups containing the data are overwrittenWithin 30 days

If a request is unusually complex and we need longer, we will tell you why before the 14 days are up.

6. Deletion that happens automatically

Even without a request, our systems discard old data on a rolling basis. We keep only a fixed number of the most recent messages and technical event logs, currently 5,000 and 2,000 respectively, and anything older is deleted permanently as new records arrive.

7. If you only want the messages to stop

Deleting your data and unsubscribing are different things. If you simply do not want to hear from us but are happy for us to keep your order history, reply STOP or BERHENTI instead. We will stop sending non-essential messages and keep your records intact.

8. If you are not satisfied

Contact us first at [PRIVACY EMAIL] so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia (Komdigi) at any time.
